CHARGING
KEY LARGO RAFTERS IS CONDEMNABLE
Washington,
DC - Congressmen Lincoln Diaz-Balart (R-FL) and Mario Diaz-Balart
(R-FL) issued today the following joint statement regarding the
charges filed by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of
Florida against the Cuban rafters from who arrived in Key Largo on May
6, 2003:
"The
fact that the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida has
brought charges against rafters who were seeking freedom from the
tyrannical terrorist regime in Cuba
is condemnable. As soon as Cuba is free, special immigration treatment
for Cubans will not be necessary. Until then, treating brave freedom
seekers like criminals is intolerable and condemnable."

ENCAUZAMIENTO DE LOS REFUGIADOS CUBANOS QUE LLEGARON A KEY LARGO ES
CONDENABLE

DC - Los Congresistas Lincoln Díaz-Balart (R-FL) y Mario Díaz-Balart
(R-FL) emitieron hoy la siguiente declaración conjunta sobre la
decisión del fiscal federal del Sur de Florida de presentar cargos
contra los refugiados cubanos que llegaron a Key Largo, Florida el 6
de mayo de 2003:
"El
encauzamiento por parte del fiscal federal de Estados Unidos del Sur
de Florida de refugiados cubanos que buscaban la libertado al huir de
un régimen tiránico y terrorista, es condenable. En cuanto Cuba sea
libre, no será necesario el trato especial migratorio para los
cubanos. Hasta entonces, el tratar a valientes refugiados que buscan
la libertad como criminales es condenable e intolerable." |
